DAVID WILLIAM PECK

David William Peck, born December 26, 1950 passed away March 10, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona. David was born to Belle Peck and William DeVoll in Chico, California. He grew up in Chico where he found many passions, including but not limited to swimming and music. He was a top swimmer at Chico High School and taught himself how to play the drums. Both skills lead him to be a compassionate, caring, and thoughtful person. His music took him on the road playing drums and singing vocals throughout the US and Canada. Eventually, those travels led him to Alaska, where he established his long-term residence in North Pole. David played in numerous bands including Supa Nova, GunShy, Modern Science, and more recently Marc Brown and the Blues Crew. The David Only Band was currently playing engagements in Arizona and Alaska. David had a great ability to choose music genre that appealed to his specific audiences. One of his proudest accomplishments was to be a lifelong musician. Besides playing music, David wrote music, taught swim lessons and was a lifeguard at Wescott Pool, and was a security liaison at Noel Wien Fairbanks library. David loved to garden during Alaska's short growing season, ride his bike and when possible, fish. David is preceded in death by his wife Michelle Peck, his mother Belle Peck, his adopted father Raymond Peck, Sr., and his father William DeVoll. He is survived by his brothers Raymond Peck (Janet), Mark DeVoll, George DeVoll (Vickie), Todd DeVoll (Lucky), his sisters Elaine DeVoll Leonard (Lyle), Rindy DeVoll,, and sons Josh Roza, Paige Peck, Bryce Peck, his daughter Jascha Morton, and his granddaughter Alice Drake (Paige), who was his pride and joy as well as his cousin and best friend, Rickey Garcia.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 27th at Feather Falls Casino Silver Moccasin Banquet Room from 12:00 to 5:00. Please come and share your memories with family and friends.

A service in North Pole will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's name to the following: Donate The Fairbanks Library Foundation (thelibraryfoundation.org)
