Del and I connected in our senior year. One thing I can say without reservation is he had your back. That obviously was carried into his service career. On two seperate occasions he didn't back away from unsolicited agression. He stood his ground (once not involving me and a second that did).
Truly a man. I've worked in public service a entire career and only have met a few out of hundreds that had the charactor of Del. He truly examplifiys the saying; "a few gave some but some gave all". God bless Del.
